Week 2

One of the hard things about going on a mission is leaving the grandkids behind.  This week we got some lovely artwork from Dylan, Logan, Kade and Rachel.  Notice the necklace that Rachel also sent Grandma.  Love and miss them all.

First Waffle Night--Buttermilk Carmel Syrup was a great hit!

Saturday afternoon P-Day--Saturday afternoon we took a little trip Southeast down the Seward Highway. It was cold, about 10 degrees, (wind-chill much colder than that). This area is called the Turnagain Arm and the wind was blowing the ice toward the East, the closed end of the inlet. Beautiful!

This is Meliame--She was the companion to the High Council speaker in one of the wards we attended today. She recently (January) returned from her mission in the Philipines. That had to be a contrast in climates!
